1. Neem (Leaves, Roots, Bark):

2. Aloe vera:
Take 3-5 large leaves, chop them and soak them in 10 liters of water for 12 to 16 hours. Feed them to the chickens for 5 – 7 days. Discard any that are not used and make another batch after 12 hours.
This mixture can treat: • Kideri/Mdondo (Mdonde/Chikwemba/Kitoga/Chinoya/Sotoka) – should be taken before as a preventative measure. • Typhoid. • Coryza. • Fowl Cholera.
3. Euphorbia:
Take 3-5 large leaves, crush them, soak them in 10 liters of water for 12-16 hours, strain and feed them to the chickens. Discard what is not used and make another one. Mtakalang’onyo treats:
• Newcastle
• Smallpox. • Coccidiosis.
Treats swelling. Place the leaves of the blessed tree inside the banana leaves and then place them in the ashes of the fire, then rub the swollen area using the blessed tree leaves.
It contains vitamins A and C. Take two handfuls of leaves (two handfuls). Then crush them and put them in 10 liters of water and leave for 12-16 hours, filter and give to the chickens. Discard what is not used and make another one. Mlonge treats: • Flu. • Kidney disease – drink it before as a preventive measure • Fowl cholera. • Typhoid fever • Liver.
6. Confrere:
• Contains many minerals and vitamins. • Treats wounds and boils.
7. Ndulele (Dungurusi, Makonde, Tura/Ndula):
• Leaves treat worms. • Fruits treat ulcers.
Boil two cups of water in 6 liters until you have 1 liter left. Cool and then strain. Treats: Worms
Papaya Leaves Are Also a Medicine to Treat Any Kind of Diarrhea in Chickens
Preparation: Get one raw Papaya leaf and crush it until it is soft. Then mix it with two and a half liters of water. Use (for treatment) – Chickens should be given this water to drink, and should not be given any other water for drinking for at least four days or more.
– It is best to prepare new medicine every day so that the medicine does not spoil.
Use (as a preventive measure) – Even if chickens do not have diarrhea, if they are accustomed to drinking water containing crushed papaya leaves at least three times a week, they will be protected from many diseases. Another way to use Papaya: Preparation and Use – Take Papaya leaves and grind them to get 1 liter of its pulp. – Mix the pulp with 2 liters of rice bran. – You can add a little water and feed the sick chickens until they recover. If there are few chickens, prepare food that they can finish in one day so that it does not remain and spoil before they finish it.
9. Mango:
Two leaves,
Crush and boil in 6 liters of water until 1 liter remains.
