In livestock farming, you have probably been seeing how big people’s projects are. You really like to visit various projects, you also have an idea for raising livestock but you are unable to know how much capital you will need to start a poultry farming project.
Brothers, you don’t have to start a big project like you think others have. They have taken a little time to get there and have faced many challenges.
So even with a very small capital you can start your own poultry farming project and after a while you will also be visited in your project.
In poultry farming there are many types of chickens. Today let’s look at broiler chicken farming.
Every type of chicken has its own essentials. These are the requirements for raising broiler chickens.
- Area
- Capital
- Band
- Equipment
- Food/water
- Medicine
- Chicks
Those are the requirements for broiler chickens here. Today we will not talk about those requirements, we will talk about the costs of care from buying chicks to selling and what is the profit? Usually people know that raising chickens is not until you have a large capital! Even with a capital of 5 lakhs you can raise broiler chickens and get good profits and as you continue to raise them, your capital will continue to grow.
Here we start with a small starting capital of 100 chicks
. There are many companies selling chicks. There are different prices, sh 1300. sh 1400. Sh 1500.
Here we use chicks priced at sh 1400.
You will buy one chick 1400×100=140000
The day you go to pick up now you should have completed the following,
you have cleaned the barn, and you set aside one corner in which you will make a semi-circular shape (brooder) inside the brooder there will be a mat also put newspapers, newspapers help with spilled water you will be able to clean easily.
Not forgetting the food and water containers, the heat source you can use a charcoal stove, a light bulb. a pot or a chemli lamp.
USES IN FOOD.
For 100 chicks in 4 or 5 weeks, you can use 5 bags of 50 kg until sold.
The first two weeks??
Starter mash one bag sh 50000 for two bags. 50000×2=Sh 100000=
Week Three.??
Growers pellet one bag 60,000/=.
Week 4??
Finisher mash 60,000/= 60000×2=120000.
heat source 15000
30,000 baht
Total?
Shs 120000+60000+100000+140000=
Shs 435000
Medicines and buying groceries can cost 35,000 shs.
So for maintenance until sale, they will cost 500,000 shillings.
In selling one chicken 6000/= × 100 = Sh600000.
The profit is 100000/= per month. ?
As you continue to raise your capital will increase. And you will become more experienced in broiler chicken farming. Also the price of food varies, this price I used is this after the food price increases except there are places where a 50 kg bag of food reaches sh 51000 – 54000.
